As a Civils Supervisor, you will oversee daily site operations, manage resources, and ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety protocols. You’ll work closely with surveyors, subcontractors, and project managers to maintain progress and quality across all assigned work areas.

The Civils Supervisor Job Responsibilities:

  • Study and interpret civil/structural drawings and specifications.
  • Manage site resources including labour, equipment, and tools to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Ensure accurate implementation of drawings, levels, alignments, and dimensions.
  • Inspect shuttering, reinforcement, and concrete works before and during casting.
  • The Civils Supervisor will ensure use of approved materials and high-quality workmanship.
  • Enforce site safety rules and ensure proper use of PPE by all workers.
  • Maintain safe working conditions for excavation, scaffolding, concreting, and lifting operations.
  • Oversee proper storage, handling, and protection of construction materials.
  • Monitor daily resource usage to minimize waste and inefficiencies.
  • Request manpower, equipment, and materials in advance to avoid delays.
  • Collaborate with surveyors to verify levels, alignment, and setting out of works.
  • Confirm dimensions and ensure execution meets design tolerances.
  • Maintain daily site logs detailing progress, manpower, equipment, and material usage.
  • Create jobwork contracts for assigned work areas.
  • Monitor jobwork contracts daily, set goals, and provide crews with performance updates.
