Overview:

A growing construction and interiors firm is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator – Cost Planning Specialist to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for precision in estimating project costs. You’ll play a key role in shaping project budgets and supporting successful bid submissions.

​​​​​​​Estimator Key Responsibilities:

• Estimator will review project briefs, technical drawings, and specifications to prepare for cost evaluation.
• Assess labour, materials, and time requirements to generate accurate cost projections.
• Develop comprehensive pricing estimates for both potential and confirmed projects.
• Track project progress and update cost forecasts as needed.
• Determine total anticipated expenses for each project.
• Coordinate and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Interpret bid data to produce detailed financial breakdowns.
• Maintain records of actual expenditures for ongoing and completed projects.
• Produce labour cost assessments tailored to each job.
• Estimator to investigate and resolve any inconsistencies in project data or pricing.
• Support additional tasks as assigned by management.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Estimator must have proven experience in estimating within construction, millwork, or related sectors.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Proficient in reading technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Comfortable working with vendors and negotiating pricing.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
