We are seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to join an ultra-luxury private estate in the Caribbean. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on culinary professional with a proven record to assist in delivering high-quality cuisine, lead kitchen operations, and support a dynamic team and create an amazing experience for guests and homeowners.

The Role of the Head Chef

As Head Chef, you will:

  •  As Head Chef, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding culinary experiences that reflect the individual tastes and dietary preferences of both guests and homeowners.
  • Cultivate a supportive and positive kitchen culture where every team member is empowered to thrive and contribute creatively.
  • Maintain tight control over food and staffing costs, ensuring operations remain efficient and within budget.
  • Motivate and guide the kitchen team to consistently meet the high standards expected by our clientele.
  • Select premium ingredients that meet agreed cost parameters and support the creation of refined, well-balanced menus.
  • Carry out responsibilities across assigned locations within the British Virgin Islands, including evening shifts, as scheduled in the rota.
  • The Head Chef is expected to uphold excellence in every aspect of kitchen management, from sourcing to service.

What We’re Looking For

  •  A solid track record in senior kitchen roles within elite environments such as luxury villas, boutique hotels, or private yachts.
  • Expertise in preparing and presenting a wide range of international dishes to an exceptional standard.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to build a cohesive team, nurture talent, and maintain a positive working atmosphere.
  • A flair for designing personalised menus that reflect seasonal produce and cater to individual tastes and dietary requirements.
  • Outstanding planning and multitasking abilities, ensuring smooth kitchen operations even during busy service periods.
  • Experience in managing suppliers, controlling inventory, and implementing cost-effective practices without compromising quality.
  • In-depth understanding of food safety regulations, hygiene protocols, and allergen awareness.
  • A composed and adaptable nature, thriving under pressure and responding calmly to last-minute changes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working across departments.
