Take ownership of procurement operations – leading supplier negotiations, managing inventory, and ensuring the smooth, cost-effective delivery of goods that meet luxury standards, working closely with internal teams, overseeing purchasing across both the resort and the wider island, and helping to build a supply chain that’s as exceptional as the experience offered to guests?
As Head of Purchasing, you’ll be responsible for developing smart sourcing strategies, managing international logistics, and ensuring a seamless supply of goods across both hospitality and development operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership, a strategic mindset, and a passion for building efficient, high-performing supply chains.
Head of Purchasing Key Responsibilities:
- Degree-level education in supply chain, business administration, logistics, or a closely related discipline; relevant certifications are a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated success managing global sourcing, supplier relationships, and complex logistics networks.
- Deep understanding of import/export regulations, customs procedures, and international compliance standards.
- Skilled in negotiating supplier contracts and securing competitive pricing while maintaining quality and reliability.
- Head of Purchasing will have a strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions that improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build trust and collaborate across cultures and departments.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- University degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or a related discipline.
- Recognised professional certification in procurement or logistics (e.g., CSCP, CIPS) or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior procurement or inventory management role.
- Extensive experience in international sourcing and global logistics.
- Strong understanding of import/export regulations and customs procedures.
- Proven ability to negotiate supplier contracts and achieve cost efficiencies.
- Skilled in analysing supply chain data to support strategic decisions.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with global vendors.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
- Highly organised, deadline-driven, and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
