Are you an experienced Maintenance Manager with a passion for operational excellence and team leadership? This is an exciting opportunity to oversee maintenance, landscaping, and pool operations for a luxury resort in the Caribbean. You’ll lead a large team, implement structure, and drive a culture of accountability while maintaining hands-on involvement when needed.

As Maintenance Manager, you will ensure the smooth functioning of all villa and back-of-house systems, including generators, mechanical and electrical infrastructure, pools, sewage treatment, irrigation, and sustainability initiatives. Your leadership will be key in elevating standards, strengthening supervisors, and ensuring consistent execution of operational priorities.

The Maintenance Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of 30–40 employees across maintenance, landscaping, and pool operations.
  • Build structure and implement systems that promote accountability and high performance.
  • Plan and execute preventative maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Oversee all technical aspects of resort infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical, and water systems.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental best practices and sustainability standards.
  • Coach and mentor supervisors, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Monitor team performance, set clear goals, and ensure consistent follow-through on priorities.
  • Maintain safety protocols and ensure proper handling of hazardous materials.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align maintenance operations with overall resort objectives.
  • Support the delivery of a six-star guest experience through proactive planning and operational excellence.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance leadership within luxury hospitality, resorts, or villas.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and water systems.
  • Proven ability to lead large teams and develop high-performing supervisors.
  • Expertise in preventative maintenance planning and operational discipline.
  • Familiarity with sustainability certifications such as Green Globe is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions:
