Overview

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Director of Finance to join a senior leadership team within a high-end hospitality environment. This position plays a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy, ensuring strong governance, and driving overall business performance.

The successful candidate will act as a trusted partner to senior leadership and stakeholders, delivering financial insight, operational support, and long-term value creation across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership

• Partner with executive leadership to support strategic decision-making through financial analysis, forecasting, and business planning
• Drive profitability through effective cost control, revenue optimisation, and performance monitoring
• Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasting processes, aligning financial strategy with business objectives
• Oversee capital expenditure planning and ensure investments support long-term operational success

Financial Operations & Reporting

• Lead all finance and accounting functions, including reporting, payroll, treasury, and cash flow management
• Deliver accurate and timely financial statements with clear analysis of performance and key trends
• Strengthen financial systems, reporting tools, and operational efficiencies across departments
• Ensure robust internal controls to safeguard assets and maintain financial integrity

Compliance, Audit & Risk

• Ensure full compliance with all regulatory, tax, and statutory requirements
• Manage internal and external audit processes, addressing findings and enhancing controls
• Review contracts, supplier agreements, and commercial arrangements to mitigate risk and protect financial interests

Leadership & Collaboration

• Provide leadership across finance and wider business support functions, including procurement and systems
• Develop and mentor a high-performing finance team
• Collaborate closely with operational teams to improve performance, drive efficiencies, and support strategic goals

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent preferred
• Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in a senior finance role within a hospitality, resort, or similar environment
• Strong understanding of financial planning, reporting, and commercial performance management
• Experience working with senior stakeholders, including boards or ownership groups

• Strong knowledge of finance systems and ERP platforms
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence non-financial stakeholders
• Strategic mindset with a hands-on, collaborative leadership style
