General Manager

A premier luxury resort in the Caribbean is seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead its next chapter of operational excellence. This role calls for a visionary hospitality leader capable of balancing strategic growth, high‑level service delivery, and deeply personalized guest experiences—all while reflecting the unique charm of the Caribbean region.

About the Role:

Reporting to senior corporate leadership, the General Manager provides full strategic direction and oversight of all resort operations. You will be accountable for financial performance, guest satisfaction, brand integrity, and team engagement, ensuring the resort continues to deliver world‑class luxury experiences reflective of the Caribbean hospitality tradition.

This role is ideal for a hands‑on, commercially astute leader who is comfortable shaping long‑term strategy, mentoring diverse teams, and maintaining a strong presence throughout the guest journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the resort’s strategic vision aligned with long‑term profitability and brand identity.
  • Lead operational, financial, and commercial performance, including budgets, forecasting, KPIs/OKRs, and revenue strategies.
  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences and maintain strong guest satisfaction results.
  • Ensure strict adherence to luxury service standards, SOPs, health & safety requirements, and local regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with guests, owners, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Mentor and develop department heads and broader teams to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Represent the property at industry events, community engagements, and relevant professional gatherings in the Caribbean hospitality sector.
  • Provide detailed analysis and insight to support strategic decision‑making.
  • Promote a high‑performance culture grounded in motivation, respect, and excellence.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Tourism, Business Management, or equivalent senior leadership experience.
  • Minimum 8+ years of senior management experience within a luxury resort environment, including 4+ years at the General Manager level.
  • Strong commercial acumen with proven success in revenue growth, cost control, and profitability.
  • Broad understanding of international luxury hospitality standards and Caribbean cultural service expectations.
  • Exceptional communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and AI‑driven productivity tools.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform well under pressure and deliver results within strict timelines.
