Construction Project Manager (Intermediate)
A leading development group in the Caribbean is seeking an experienced Intermediate Construction Project Manager to support the delivery of high‑quality residential and resort projects. This role is ideal for a detail‑driven professional with strong project execution skills and the ability to manage construction activities in complex Caribbean environments.
About the Role:
As an Intermediate Construction Project Manager, you will oversee day‑to‑day site coordination, maintain commercial and financial controls, and ensure that all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with premium development standards commonly seen across the Caribbean
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage construction activities from pre‑construction through handover.
- Coordinate contractors, consultants, and suppliers across multiple workstreams.
- Monitor site progress, quality, and risks, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Assist with budgets, cost plans, cash flows, and financial reporting.
- Support procurement and regional logistics for materials and long‑lead items.
- Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and statutory approvals.
- Oversee snagging, inspections, defects management, and handover documentation.
- Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards, including coastal and hurricane‑resilient practices.
- Prepare progress updates and maintain strong communication with stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate:
- 3–5 years’ experience in construction project or site management.
- Background in high‑value residential, hospitality, or resort developments.
- Familiarity with contract administration (JCT, NEC, FIDIC, AIA or similar).
- Experience working in the Caribbean or other island‑based environments.
- Strong commercial awareness, coordination skills, and technical understanding.
- Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Professional accreditation (RICS, CIOB, PMI, APM) is an advantage.
